Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to introduce a medical tube by preventing movement of a closure member which is inserted into the tube during insertion of the tube.
SOLUTION: This assembly includes a medical tube 1 and a closure member 2 for insertion into the tube and is designed so that the closure member 2 is provided with a patient side end which projects from the patient side end of the tube 1 to facilitate insertion of the assembly. In this case, surface forming portions 30, 31, 14 that mesh with one another are provided at the closure member 2 and at the device side end of the tube 1, and when the surface forming portions mesh with one another, they prevent backward movement of the closure member 2 relative to the tube 1. The surface forming portions that mesh with one another are preferably formed by elastic catches and lips, so that the closure member can be disconnected by twisting it over a small angle relative to the tube.
