Abstract:
To provide a methacrylic resin composition having high transparency and being imparted with high surface hardness by a simple means.
The methacrylic resin composition is formed by subjecting a monomer component comprising methyl methacrylate and a -alumina composite to polymerization reaction, wherein the -alumina composite is prepared by the surface treatment of -alumina particles with at least one phosphoric ester represented by formula (1) (wherein, R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R2 is an alkylene group; M is a monovalent cation; n is a number of 1-10; and m is an integer of 1-3).
