PURPOSE: To particularly tightly bond the end margin of a coated plate to a workpiece and to prevent the peeling thereof even if moisture and high temp. act thereon by applying a molten adhesive having low resistance force to an ambient environmental effect at the central part of a side marginal surface and applying an adhesive having the high resistance force at the end marginal zones on both sides.

CONSTITUTION: The molten adhesive is applied to the range of a width a in the central part 11 of the side marginal surface 3 by a nozzle 7 in a method for adhering the side marginal coated plate 2 to the side marginal surface 3 of the board-like workpiece 1. Next, the polyurethane adhesive flowing out of nozzles 14, 15 is applied at the end a zones 12, 13 on both sides and thereafter, the coated plate 2 is continuously supplied and is press bonded by a roller 6. The molten adhesive applied at the central part solidifies relatively rapidly and the press bonding state is eventually obtd. The polyurethane adhesive does not rapidly solidify but has the high resistance force to the influence of the ambient environment and does not, therefore, peel even if particularly the moisture and high temp. act thereon after bonding. The smaller amt. of the costly polyurethane is needed and the relatively inexpensive molten adhesive is eventually applied at the central part according to this method.
