Abstract:
To provide a device for detecting grinding loads on a grinding stone, which can detect increase of grinding resistance in a specific portion in a grinding surface of the grinding stone.SOLUTION: An integrated strength value calculating part 70 calculates a first integrated strength value Xi1 of a first AE signal SAE1 and a second integrated strength value Xi2 of a second AE signal SAE2, which are respectively generated from positions different from each other in a radial direction of a grinding stone during grinding processing, and an evaluation value calculating part 72 calculates, as an evaluation value of grinding loads, relative values between the first integrated strength value Xi1 and the second integrated strength value Xi2. This can detect a relative value of grinding resistance between an inner periphery part and an outer periphery part in a grinding surface 12a. A determination using the detected relative value enables starting of dressing for toothing of a flat grinding stone 12 to be determined at an appropriate timing, without requiring skill.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
