PURPOSE: To provide the device capable of easily and surely manage the object by automatically managing the housing and exit of the object and the account information management.

CONSTITUTION: An object management device 8 is provided with a travelling path 15 on which a case 27 is traveled from an insertion port 9 from which the case 27 housing the object is inserted, to an exit port 14 through which the case 27 is discharged, bar code reading section 16 reading the bar code displayed on the case 27, housing box 18 located next to the bar code reading section 16 along the travelling path 15, pulled outside the device and housing the case 27, control section inputting the control information, floppy disk drive 22 storing the account management information, and central processing device 25 storing the information and controlling the receipt and discharge of the object.
