Abstract:
To process images in such a way as to increase the sharpness by controlling the granularity.
The image control process part 704 of an image processing part 70 uses dyadic wavelet transform to subject image signals whose spatial frequencies are 1.5 to 3.0 lp/mm and whose signal strength varies by 30 to 60% of maximum signal variation to the process (sharpness highlighting process) of increasing the variation of the signal strength and to subject pixels whose spatial frequencies are 0.7 to 3.0 lp/mm and whose signal strength varies by 0 to 6% of the maximum signal variation to the process (noise elimination or control process) of reducing the variation of the signal strength.
