Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily dispersing β-1,3-glucan into water while keeping the excellent properties, and hardly precipitating the β-1,3-glucan even when standing the same for a long period of time, and to provide a curdlan composition having the properties.SOLUTION: A composite boy of β-1,3-glucan and acidic polysaccharides is prepared by steps described in the following (a) to (c): (a) a step of making at least 10 pts.wt. of acidic polysaccharides and 100 pts.wt. of β-1,3-glucan coexisting in an aqueous medium; (b) a step of adding alcohol to the aqueous medium obtained in the (a) step to produce precipitation; and (c) a step of collecting the precipitation obtained in the (b) step.SELECTED DRAWING: None
