PURPOSE: To improve the workability and to obtain stable bonding strength at the joint area by using a press-molded solid adhesive in plate form prepared from a thermosetting powdery adhesive for joining an object to a surface of a base material.
CONSTITUTION: A press-molded solid adhesive 1 in plate form prepared from a thermosetting powdery adhesive is used for joining an object 10 to a surface 20a of a base material 20. To effect joining, pieces of the solid adhesive 1 are arranged on the surface 20a, and the object 10 is placed on each piece of the solid adhesive 1; the solid adhesive 1 is melted by heating and then heating is stopped to allow the adhesive to cure. This joining method can be suitably utilized in the case where the base material is a metallic plate and the object to be joined comprises a ferromagnetic material (ferrite).
