Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing an iodine-based polarizer having a high polarization degree.
The method for manufacturing a polarizer comprising a film having such a structure that minute domains are dispersed in a matrix formed of a translucent water-soluble resin containing an iodine light absorbing material, includes: a process of forming a film from a solution containing the translucent water-soluble resin, iodine and a material for the formation of the minute domain; and a process of stretching the obtained film.
