Title:
METHOD FOR MASKING IRON RUST SMELL AND IRON SALT-CONTAINING HAIR-DYEING AGENT IN WHICH IRON RUST SMELL IS MASKED
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05214680
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an iron salt-containing hair-dyeing agent in which the smell of iron rust is mashed and having an effect not to give an unpleasant feeling to a man on the basis of the masking by adding a tocopherol compound to an iron salt-containing composition.

CONSTITUTION: A composition containing an iron salt (e.g. ferrous sulfate, ferrous chloride) is mixed with a tocopherol compound, especially al-α- tocopherol, to effectively mask the smell of the iron salt. The application of the effect to a hair cosmetic containing the iron salt permits to reduce the adhesion of the iron salt smell to the hair after a hair-dyeing treatment, thereby not giving an unpleasant feeling to a man.
