Abstract:
To provide a method of a pleat-process without causing environmental problems, capable of achieving a pleat-process for a natural fibrous material, excellent in touch and endurance to improve the wearing comfort of the pleat- processed product and explore wider uses, and the natural fibrous material and products excellent in pleat-processed effect.
This new method of the pleat-process using a hydrophilic dichlorotriazine-based compound singly or its mixture as a cross-linking agent is provided by imparting a prescribed amount of water as well as an acid binder into the fibrous material and heat-treating. The method can be said as a non- formalin, non-resin and non-gas process, and exhibits a high pleat-process effect.
