The method for producing the dried product of a vinylpyrrolidone-based polymer includes a process of applying a solution comprising a vinylpyrrolidone-based polymer having a K value of 60 and water on the heat transfer surface of a heating surface-adhering type dryer, subsequently peeling off the applied material. As the heating surface-adhering type dryer used in the method for producing the dried product of a vinylpyrrolidone-based polymer, use is made of a dryer to which a release agent selected from a group consisting of fluorine-based organic compounds, silicon-based organic compounds and waxes is applied on the heating surface.
