To provide a method for producing a gas oil composition which does not cause filter choking at a low temperature and satisfies practical use performance and exhaust gas purifying performance in a low-sulfur gas oil with a sulfur content of 50 mass ppm or less even in the case of the gas oil composition whose wax deposition amount is relatively large at a low temperature.
In the method for producing the gas oil composition which has the sulfur content of 50 mass ppm or less and includes other predetermined properties, (A) a substrate of 40-100 vol.% which is obtained by hydrodesulfurization-treating a stock oil containing a straight gas oil of 50 vol.% or more with 90% distillation temperature of ≥320°C and ≤365°C, has the sulfur content of 50 mass ppm or less, has the 90% distillation temperature of ≥300°C and ≤360°C and has a tilt of linear regression line of 0.35 or less sought from 20-27C normal paraffin content is compounded regarding total amount of compositions as a reference; (B) a substrate of 0-50 vol.% which has the sulfur content of 50 mass ppm or less, has the 90% distillation temperature of ≥200°C and <300°C and has total amount of 20C or more normal paraffin of 0.02 mass% or less is compounded regarding total amount of compositions as a reference; and (C) a hydrocracked gas oil which has the sulfur content of 15 mass ppm or less obtained from a hydrocracking apparatus and has the 90% distillation temperature of ≥300°C and ≤365°C is compounded regarding total amount of compositions as a reference.
