To easily and efficiently produce a high quality potassium salt of 3,4-dihydro-1,2,3-oxathiazin-4-one-2,2-dioxide compound.
A compound represented by formula (1) (wherein R1 and R2 are same or different and each H or an organic group inactive to reaction) is treated in a mixed solvent of water and a water-soluble organic solvent by neutralization reaction with potassium hydroxide to produce a potassium salt of 3,4-dihydro-1,2,3-oxathiazin-4-one-2,2-dioxide compound.
