Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding material for easily producing a molded article having excellent dispersion of reinforced fiber into a molded article in injection molding and high mechanical characteristics without impairing economic efficiency and productivity in the production process of the molding material.SOLUTION: The molding material is obtained by adhering 10-98.9 wt.% of a thermoplastic resin (C) to a composite composed of 1-50 wt.% of a continuous reinforced fiber bundle (A) and 0.1-40 wt.% of a polyarylene sulfide prepolymer (B) and the composite contains 0.001-20 mol%, based on sulfur atom in the component (B), a 0-valent transition metal compound (D) or a low valence iron compound (E). The method for producing a molded article uses the molding material.
