Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive device comprising a regeneration control function and a power storage device which stores a regenerative current and supplies power to an inverter part at acceleration.
SOLUTION: A DC link part 3 to which a converter part 1 and an inverter part 2 are connected, is connected to a regeneration start detecting means 5 and a power storage device 8. When the regeneration start detecting means 5 detects that a voltage of the DC link part 3 reaches a regeneration control start voltage, a controller 7 controls switching elements Q1-Q6 to start regenerative control. The regenerated current is stored in a capacitor 9 through a diode 10. In powering a motor, a switching element 11 is turned on to apply a voltage of the capacitor 9 to the DC link part 3, so that the charged power is used for acceleration of the motor. Here, the regeneration control start voltage which is detected by the regeneration start detecting means 5 is raised so that regenerative control is prevented from acting on the applied voltage of the capacitor 9. The regenerated current of the power storage device is effectively used and the regenerative control function is used.
