To provide a motor drive device which allows for easily grasping stray capacitance of a motor and motor power lines at low cost.SOLUTION: A motor drive device 1 comprises: an inverter 12 configured to convert an input DC voltage into an AC voltage for driving a motor 3 by switching internal power devices on and off; a current detection circuit 13 configured to detect current that flows through motor power lines 6 when the AC voltage is applied to the motor 3 via the motor power lines 6; a temperature measurement unit 14 for measuring temperature of the current detection circuit 13; and a stray capacitance estimation unit 15 configured to estimate stray capacitance appearing at the motor power lines 6 and the motor 3 on the basis of the temperature measured by the temperature measurement unit 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
