Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a muffler capable of controlling a noise in a wide band area with high accuracy with small arithmetic processing quantity.
CONSTITUTION: This muffler is comprised of a microphone 3 for noise detection, a microphone 5 for error detection, a weighing filter 7 which adjusts a detection signal by the microphone for error detection by multiplying the detection signal by the microphone for error detection by a weight coefficient calculated based on coherence with a detection signal by the microphone for noise detection, a variable coefficient filter 6 which generates a signal to negate the noise based on the detection signal by the microphone for noise detection, a variable coefficient arithmetic part 8 which calculates the coefficient of the variable coefficient filter by the detection signal by the microphone for noise detection and output from the weighing filter, and a speaker 4 which issues a tone to negate the noise based on an output signal from the variable coefficient filter.
