Abstract:

To easily recognize a tempo.

A device in which the number of times of performance operation (the number of beat) in one measure is set to reproduce music data for the number of beat corresponding to the performance operation generates prior beat sound before starting to reproduce the music data so that a player can recognize a tempo. When the played music is not anacrusis, the number of beat for two measures is set as the prior beat number of times when the number of beat in one measure is set at one time (S14). When anacrusis music which the beat position at the beginning of music is at the third beat and succeeding, the number of beat for the anacrusis measure and two measures is set as the prior beat number of times when the number of beat in one measure is one time, and when the number of beat is two times, the number of the beat for the anacrusis measure and one measure is set as the prior beat number of times, and when the number of beat is three times or more, the number of beat for the anacrusis measure is set as the prior beat number of times. In this way, the prior beat number of times is made to be two times or more in any case.
