NEW MATERIAL: A compd. of formula I (R1 is a (substd.) alkyl, an alkenyl, etc.; R2 is H, a (substd.) alkyl, etc.; R3 is H, a (substd.) alkyl, an alkinyl, etc.; X is O, S).
EXAMPLE: N-Acetoamidemethyl-(E)-2-cyano-2-methoxyminoacetoamide.
USE: A pest control agent. Particularly useful as a bactericidal and fungicidal agent.
PROCESS: The compd. of formula I is obtd. by bringing N-(2-cyano-2-oxymino- acetyl)-aminal of formula II (XY is an inorg. or org. acid) and an acylating reagent of the formula (Z)-CX-R3 (Z is a customary free group, such as a halogen, etc.), or the formula X-C=N-R6 (R6 is H, a (substd.) alkyl, etc.), into reaction. The reaction is effected at -20 to 120°C by using a ternary amine as a catalyst at need in a solvent, such as toluene, in the presence of a base (e.g.: triethylamine).
