Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide novel compds. which are useful as peroxide decomposing agents.
CONSTITUTION: The compd. of formula I (M is Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba or their mixture; R is H, hydrocarbyl; L is the ligand of formula II). This compd. is obtd. by mixing the carboxylate sources consisting of the water-contg. soln. of the compd. of formula III, the manganese (II) carboxylate of formula Mn(O2Cr)2 or water-soluble manganese (II) salt and formula -O2CR, then adding an oxidizing agent, such as hydrogen peroxide, to the mixture and oxidizing the mixture.
