Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an odor from migrating to an upper floor or a lower floor through an opening of an area within a multistory building where an escalator and steps and the like are installed.
SOLUTION: An air current discharge unit 1 is installed in a ceiling 23 of a first story A to form a downward discharge air current Y almost parallel with an inclined ceiling 25 of a down escalator 21 installed between a floor B1F of a basement of a floor 1F of the first story A and the inclined ceiling 25 of the down escalator 21, and between a head 24 of a person going down and the inclined ceiling 25. As a result, an ascending air current X carrying an odor is contained by the diffused air current Y even if the ascending air current X tries to flow upward through an opening 22.
