Abstract:
To easily change the number of routes, and reduce the size of wavelength selective switches without increasing the number of wavelength selective switches used.SOLUTION: An optical cross connect device includes a route group 210 including an OXC portion 220 having more than the number of connected routes, the OXC portion 220 includes an N-side port having two or more pairs of ports including a pair of ports for transmission and reception in a route, an M-side port that has two or more pairs of ports for transmission and reception, and a wavelength selection switch that realizes any one of or both a first wavelength selective switch function that outputs an optical signal input from the N side port to any port of the M side port, and a second wavelength selective switch function that outputs an optical signal input from the M side port to any port of the N side port.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
