To provide oscillation reducing equipment of a stacker crane which can improve the service life of the electroviscous fluid and is highly reliable.

A stacker crane reduces the oscillation in stopping the traveling by controlling the rotation of a roller 101 which is rotated in an abutting manner on a guide rail 3 in a ceiling part with the electroviscous fluid. The slacker crane is provided with a distortion detecting means 9 which detects the distortion of a mast 5 in the traveling direction and is provided on a lower part of the mast, a judging means 11 to judge whether or not the electroviscous fluid is actuated during the traveling based on the positive/negative time differential value of the detected value of the distortion detecting means 9, and a control means to actuate the electroviscous fluid with the applied voltage corresponding to the time differential value of the detected value of the distortion detecting means 9 only during the period in which the electroviscous fluid is actuated by the judging means 11 and after the traveling of the stacker crane is stopped, and the electroviscous fluid is intermittently actuated even during the traveling of the stacker crane.
