To provide an over-tube preventing the entanglement of two endoscopes when inserting the two endoscopes into a body via the over-tube.
This over-tube 1 for assisting the insertion of the endoscopes 8a and 8b into the body is rotationally provided therein with separators 4 and 12 each demarcating a first insertion pathway 9a for inserting the endoscope 8a and a second insertion pathway 9b for inserting the endoscope 8b. The separator 12 has first conduits 14a, 15a and 16a as the first insertion pathway 9a and second conduits 14b, 15b and 16b as the second insertion pathway 9b. The separators 4 and 12 each have a projection section 7 projecting from the distal end of the over-tube 1 by a length of a prescribed range and at least the projection section 7 is composed of a soft resin. The separators 4 and 12 are freely attachable/detachable.
