Abstract:
To provide an overcharge preventive device for electric vehicle arranged such that a battery 1 is charged through a charger at night and further charged supplementally with power from a solar cell 8 in the daytime.
A battery 1 for electric vehicle is charged through a charger 5 at night and further charged supplementally with power from a solar cell 8 in the daytime. When the voltage of the battery 1 exceeds the voltage from a reference power supply 14 during auxiliary charge in the daytime, a protective relay 7 is turned off to interrupt power from the solar cell 8 thus ending auxiliary charge.
