Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a photo-aging resister having high stability, excellent in protecting effect against photo-aging and containing a laurinterol as an active component and to obtain a skin cosmetic excellent in protecting effect against wrinkles and the slack of the skin caused by photo-aging and having excellent skin beautifying effect by compounding the resister.
CONSTITUTION: This photo-aging resister contains a compound of the formula (X is H or Br) as an active component. Examples of a compound of the formula include laurinterol and debromolaurinterol. A compound of the formula is obtained as an extract of a seaweed selected from Laurencia okamurai, Laurencia intermedia, Laurencia papillata and Laurencia undulata belonging to Rhodomelaceae of red algae with a lipophilic solvent and/or a hydrophilic solvent. The obtained extract is preferably mixed in a photo-aging resister. Further, a skin cosmetic is obtained by compounding with at least one kind of the photo-aging resister and the compounding ratio of the resister is 0.001-1.0wt.%, preferably 0.001-0.1wt.% based on the total amount of the cosmetic.
