Title:
PIGMENT PRINTING PROCESS FOR FLAME-RETARDANT, LOW-FLAMMABILITY OR NONFLAMMABLE FIBER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0345789
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To ensure excellent flame resistant effects of a structure comprising flame-retardant, low-flammability or nonflammable synthetic fibers by printing a fiber structure comprising the said synthetic fibers with a pigment binder comprising a specific polymer as a base material.

CONSTITUTION: A pigment printed product without reducing flame-proofness of a fiber structure by printing the fiber structure comprising flame-retardant, low-flammability or nonflammable fibers with a pigment binder comprising a vinylidene chloride/butyl acrylate copolymer containing 70-90 wt.% of vinylidene chloride and a plasticizer such as dioctyl phthalate, and treating the structure by heat. As the fiber, a linear phthalic acid ester fiber having co-condensed phosphorus-containing chain constituents or an aromatic polyamide is cited.
