To provide a plasma display panel having excellent display performance at a low price.
There is provided a method for manufacturing a plasma display panel which includes a front plate having a plurality of display electrodes arranged in a row direction which are composed of first and second conductive electrodes arranged on a front substrate leaving discharge gaps in between, and a back plate arranged oppositely to the front panel leaving discharge spaces in between and having a plurality of data electrodes formed in a column direction intersecting the display electrodes and provided with discharge cells in the intersecting portion. The first and the second electrodes include first portions opposed via the discharge gaps, second portions arranged in parallel leaving spaces from the first portions, third portions arranged in parallel leaving spaces from the second portions, and fourth portions connecting the first, the second and the third portions in an intersecting direction and provided for each discharge cell. The plasma display panel manufacturing method includes a first exposure step in which the first, the third and the fourth portions are exposed to light and a second exposure step in which the second portions are exposed to light.
