A plasma display panel comprises an effective display region including a front plate formed on a front substrate and a back plate formed on a back substrate and a non-display region formed on the outside of the effective display region. The non-display region includes a non-display region A having phosphor coated thereon and a non-display region B formed on the outside of the non-display region A and having no phosphor coated thereon. In the non-display region A, a second electrode has a divided portion and is extended from the effective display region. The area of first and second electrodes occupying a predetermined area of the non-display region B is 61% or more and 77% or less of the area of the first and second electrodes occupying a predetermined area in the effective display region. The electrode width of the first and the second electrodes in the non-display region B is 40% or more and 75% or less of the electrode width of the first and the second electrodes in the effective display region.
