To prevent damage of a bead part and lengthen the life of a tire by setting the radius of curvature of a carcass in the upper part above the maximum cross sectional width of the tire smaller than the radius of curvature of the carcass in the lower part in the case of assembling a no-load and no- pressure tire to a rim.
This tire is provided on a rim 10, and includes a tread 1, a belt connector 2, a side wall 3 and a bead part 4 having a bead wire 5, and a radial carcass 6. In this case, in the no-load and no-pressure state of the tire, concerning the respective connecting portions A, B of the carcass to the belt 2 and the rim 10 and a portion Bmax with the tire maximum cross sectional width, the length of the carcass 6 between A-Bmax is set to a radius of curvature R1, and the length of the carcass 6 between Bmax-B is set to a radius of curvature R2. The relationship between the respective radii of curvatures R1<R2, and the ratio of R1:R2 is set to 1:1.1 to 1:2.2 or 1:4 to 1:2.0.
