Abstract:
To provide a polysaccharide derivative capable of improving washability of sebum contamination during cleaning and capable of improving water absorption and flexibility of fibers.SOLUTION: A polysaccharide containing a cationic group and a hydrocarbon group (R) having two or more carbons, in which the hydrocarbon group (R) is directly, or via a hydrocarbon group having an oxygen atom, bonded to a group obtained by removing a hydrogen atom from a hydroxyl group of a hydroxyalkylated polysaccharide, the hydroxyalkylated polysaccharide is at least one selected from hydroxyethylated polysaccharide and hydroxypropylated polysaccharide, and 1 mass% aqueous solution of the hydroxyalkylated polysaccharide has a viscosity of 1500 mPa s or larger and 100,000 mPa s or smaller.SELECTED DRAWING: None
