To provide a portable computer capable of mounting components without losing the portability in mounting a fuel cell as a power supply.
The portable computer is provided with the fixed body part 10 on which a computer control part is mounted, the movable body part 11 which is enabled to open and close to this fixed main body part 10 and on which a display panel 14 is mounted, and a hinge part 12 to journal the movable body part 11 to the fixed body part 10 capable of opening and closing. The portable computer comprises a power generating unit 20 which is arranged at the rear face side of the display panel 14 of the movable body part 11 in order to drive the computer and which is constituted by one or a plurality of fuel battery cells S of a flat plate shape, a fuel unit 31 to generate a hydrogen gas to drive the fuel battery cells S and to be mounted on the hinge part 12, and a gas supply tube 33 to supply the hydrogen gas generated by this fuel unit 31 to the power generating unit 20.
