Abstract:
To provide a portable electronic device for improving convenience in function of a magnifying glass.
A camera 33 captures a magnified image of an object. A display controller 463 enlarges the image data of the object captured by the camera 33 by a predetermined magnification to display it on a display 21. A distance-measuring unit 464 measures the distance from the camera 33 to a user when the camera 33 is started by an image controller 461. Thereafter, a magnification determinator 465 determines the magnification in enlarging the image of the object, based on the user's distance from the camera measured by the distance-measuring unit 464.
