Abstract:

To provide a precious metal analyzing method capable of quantitatively analyzing precious metal in a test sample quickly and accurately.SOLUTION: A precious metal analyzing method comprises: preparing a test sample containing a precious metal; producing a lead button by melting the test sample and collecting the precious metal, in accordance with the lead button production procedure of the dry assay method; washing the lead button with at least one acidic aqueous solution selected from the group consisting of aqua regia, hydrochloric acid, reverse aqua regia, acetic acid, citric acid and sulfuric acid, water or alkaline aqueous solution, to remove slag adhering to the surface of the lead button; drying the lead button from which the slag has been removed; and performing instrumental analysis on the dried lead button to quantify the precious metal.SELECTED DRAWING: None
