To provide a pressing device capable of easily conducting pressing in both upward and downward directions by one actuator when conducting the vertical pressing while fixing a work by horizontally pressing the work.
A pressing device subjects a work 1 to pressing by lowering a punch 2 provided above the work 1 and by vertically pressing the work 1 while fixing the work 1 by horizontally pressing it. The pressing device is provided with: a cylinder device 24, which moves the punch 2 up and down; a movable jig 7, which is composed so as to be horizontally movable between a fixed and non-fixed positions; a spring, which energizes the movable jig 7 toward the non-fixed position side; and a horizontal movement means 5, in which, when the punch 2 is lowered, a first member 3, which vertically moves with the punch 2, makes a second member 4, which horizontally moves with the movable jig 7, move horizontally, so that the punch 2 is arranged to the fixed position before pressing.
