PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for efficiently treating a record carrier with ink or toner fixed thereon for suitably removing a solvent from the surface of the record carrier.SOLUTION: A method of performing printing on a record carrier causes at least one type of ink or at least one type of liquid toner to adhere to a record carrier, the ink or liquid toner containing a liquid component including a plurality of types of liquids, the method including: treating the record carrier with heat within a range T1 of 40°C to 80°C after adhesion of the ink or liquid toner and before fixation of the ink or liquid toner; and fixing the ink or liquid toner at a temperature T2 of at least 90°C after the heat treatment, and a printing facility performs the printing on a record carrier.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
