PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing an amine-modified epoxy acrylate (methacrylate) useful for producing a binder in radical curing coating, patty or sealant or a binder for producing a molding product.

CONSTITUTION: An epoxy group-containing organic compound is reacted with (a) acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid in an equivalent ratio of epoxy/epoxide of 0.8:1-0.99:1 and reacted with (b) a basic nitrogen compound selected from ammonia, an aliphatic (alicyclic) primary or secondary amine in an equivalent ratio of NH/epoxide of 0.01:1 to 0.2:1. The epoxy group originally present is substantially completely reacted and at least 0.01 NH equivalent, per epoxide equivalent, of the basic nitrogen compound is reacted with the epoxy group still present after completion of the reaction according to the step (a).
