Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an aramide fiber improved in moisture-absorbed dimensional stability and high in strength and modulus.
CONSTITUTION: The characteristic of this method for producing an aramide fiber improved in the moisture-absorbed dimensional stability comprises impregnating an aramide fiber with a metal salt selected from the group consisting of lithium sulfate, sodium sulfate, potassium sulfate, lithium chloride, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, copper (II) diacetate, copper (I) bromide, copper (II) dibromide, copper (I) chloride, copper (II) dichloride, copper (II) citrate, copper (I) cyanate, copper 4-cyclohexylbutyrate, ammonium copper (II) chloride, copper (II) diphosphate, copper (II) difluoride, copper (II) diformate, copper (II) digluconate, copper (II) dihydroxide, copper (I) diiodide, copper naphthenate, copper (II) dinitrate, copper (II) dioleate, copper (II) oxalate, copper (I) oxide, copper (II) oxide, copper (II) phosphate, copper (II) phthalate, potassium copper chloride, copper (I) rhodanate, copper (II) sulfate, basic copper (II) sulfate, copper (II) sulfide, copper (I) thiocyanate, copper perchlorate, copper tartrate, copper isophthalate, and copper stearate.
