Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a sheet or film planished with high surface accuracy from a non-crystalline cyclic olefinic resin having high melt viscosity.

CONSTITUTION: A cyclic olefinic resin is extruded from a T-die to be formed into a cyclic olefinic resin film which is primarily cooled while pressing tightly between a casting drum and a metal belt of which the surface is planished to produce a cyclic olefinic resin sheet or film of which the surface is planished.
