Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a gypsum board having relief pattern by impregnating a surface-softening liquid agent to the surface of a gypsum board and hot- pressing the board with a mold having prescribed relief molding surface.
CONSTITUTION: A surface-softening liquid agent is sprayed to the surface of a gypsum board material 1. The surface-softening agent is e.g. a solution produced by diluting a water-soluble releasing agent with water at a dilution ratio of 5-30. The gypsum liner board and the core material are wet with the softening agent by impregnating the agent into the surface of the material 1 in an amount of about 10-100g/m2. The surface layer of the core material is moderately softened by this treatment to reduce the bonding force to the liner board. After the above softening treatment, the gypsum board material is transferred to a hot-press provided with forming molds 6, 7 having a prescribed molding surface 6a and built-in heaters 8. The gypsum board material 1 is placed on the lower mold 7 and hot-pressed with the upper mold at a molding temperature of 60-200°C, a pressing pressure of 10-50kg/cm2 and a pressing time of 10-150sec.
