Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain peroxyperfluoropolyethers having a higher molecular weight and an equal PO value by operating the reaction at the same temperature and pressure as those of the conventional process.
SOLUTION: In this production process for peroxyperfluoropolyoxyalkylenes, tetrafluoroethylene is oxidized in the presence of a chemical reaction initiator having at least one of F-X bond (X is an oxygen or halogen atom) under the whole pressure of 0-15 absolute pressure in a solvent in an amount of ≥8mol% of COF2, or in the presence of singly COF2 without irradiation with ultraviolet rays.
