Abstract:
To provide a production system of sodium hydride, by which sodium hydride can be produced from an alkali metal hydroxide and a large amount of sodium hydride can be efficiently produced in a short time.SOLUTION: A production system 10 of sodium hydride includes a chamber 11a, in which a lower heating space 21 is heated by heating means to a predetermined temperature in an atmosphere of nitrogen gas supplied from an inflow pipeline 14; a decomposition vapor of an alkali metal hydroxide molten in the lower heating space 21 rises from the lower heating space 21 to an intermediate cooling space 22; while being cooled by a cooling plate 13, the decomposition vapor is reduced into sodium hydride (NaH) by a reduction catalyst; the reduced sodium hydride adheres to the cooling plate 13 to deposit and solidify; and cooling gas and hydrogen gas (H) produced in a reduction space 18 flow from a discharge port into an outflow pipeline 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
