Abstract:
The present disclosure introduces methods and apparatus of random access implemented by a wireless device (30, 300, 1100) in a mixed numerology New Radio, NR, communication network (10). The method (120) comprising the steps of receiving (125) system information from a network node (20, 800, 1200), said system information containing a System Information Block, SIB, indicating a configuration for random access, selecting a sub-band for random access configured with a subcarrier spacing determined from two or more subcarrier spacings available for random access as indicated by said SIB and performing (135) a random access on the selected sub-band to establish a connection with the network node (20, 800, 1200).
