Abstract:
To provide the renewable energy utilization system that can reduce a size of a facility, can effectively utilize oxygen obtained together with hydrogen from surplus power in a renewable energy power generation device, and further, can effectively utilize oxygen obtained together with hydrogen from the surplus power in a system.SOLUTION: The renewable energy utilization system comprises: a water electrolysis device 2 that generates hydrogen and oxygen using the surplus power of the renewable energy power generation device 1; and methanation equipment 3 for producing a hydrocarbon fuel such as methane by combining hydrogen produced in a water electrolysis device with carbon dioxide generated in the system. The system includes a biogasification facility 4 having an activated sludge tank 41, a fermentation tank 42, and a carbon dioxide separator 43 in the system, and the water electrolysis device supplies oxygen produced together with hydrogen to an activated sludge tank using the surplus power. The carbon dioxide separated by the carbon dioxide separator and the hydrogen obtained by the water electrolyzer are combined in the methanation equipment to produce the hydrocarbon fuel such as methane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
