PURPOSE: To provide the reverberation adding device which can add a long-time reverberation without increasing the number of taps.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a coefficient variation control part 40 having a means which detects the amplitude level of input sample data and a coefficient processing part 30 having a function for outputting a coefficient sequence for convolutional arithmetic and a function for varying the coefficient sequence. The convolutional arithmetic part 20 is so constituted as to hold a sample data sequence as an object of convolutional arithmetic. When the amplitude level of the input sample data decreases below a specific value, the convolutional arithmetic part 20 places the sample data sequence as the object of convolutional arithmetic in a fixed state and in the coefficient processing part 30, the coefficient sequence supplied to the convolutional arithmetic part 20 is shift in order to a rear part in a reflected sound sequence.
