Abstract:
To propose a rotary table and a machine tool shortening a time required throughout positioning of a workpiece, machining, and re-positioning of the workpiece.
This rotary table 1 is provided with: a driving source 2; a workpiece holding section holding the workpiece to be worked by a tool; a power transmitting mechanism 3 capable of transmitting power from the driving source 2 to the workpiece holding section; and a load mechanism 30 applying a prescribed load on the power transmitting mechanism 3 during working on the workpiece, which is capable of activating the power transmitting mechanism 3 in a loaded state.
