Abstract:
To reduce noise leaked to outside from an air intake duct by arbitrary adjusting a gap between a rotor shaft and an opening of the air intake duct.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine comprises: a heat exchanger installed outside a housing of a rotary electric machine body; an air intake duct; a vane wheel provided in the air intake duct and rotated by a rotor shaft; and an opening which is formed in the air intake duct and through which the shaft is penetrated. An inner circulation cooling medium that cools a stator and the rotator is cooled by heat-exchange with an external cooling medium inflowing into the heat exchanger. Also, a sound insulation seal for reducing a gap between the opening and the shaft is provided in the air intake duct, and the sound insulation seal comprises: an upper arc seal arranged at an upper side and having a long hole-shaped positioning groove; a lower arc seal arranged on a lower side; a fixing screw that fixes the upper arc seal to the air intake duct; and an adjustment screw which attaches the lower arc seal to the upper arc seal, and can adjust an interval between the upper arc seal and the lower arc seal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
