Abstract:

To provide a saw teeth automatic grinding machine capable of grinding saw teeth with high efficiency, accuracy and quality, without requiring presence of a skilled worker.

In the saw teeth automatic grinding machine 1 for grinding teeth of a band saw 2, the vibration occurred during the saw teeth grinding is detected by a vibration sensor. Contact of a grinding wheel 67 to the saw teeth, shape of the saw teeth, and completion of a grinding cycle are recognized based upon the detected pattern of the vibration. With these recognitions, the trajectory of the movement of the grinding wheel 67 is changed or adjusted, whereby an operation of the saw teeth grinding fit for the shape of the saw teeth is automatically carried out.
