To provide a sewage treating apparatus which is easy in maintenance and operation, which requires no periodical operation of removing solid oil and fat components and keeps drains at an effluent standard or lower by decomposing the oil and fat components, thereby enabling various drains to discharge to the sewers as they are.
The apparatus possesses an air feed means 26 agitating the various drains by feeding air to the various drains stored in a storing vessel provided with a taking-in part 3 and a feeding part 5 for discharging the various drains to the outside, and a circulation device 28 circulating the various drains stored in the storing vessel. The air feed means is provided with a cylindrical body for introducing air which temporarily stores compressed air fed from a compressed air feed source and discharging compressed air from a plurality of discharge openings. The circulation device 28 is provided with a cylindrical body for circulating water which makes the various drains pass through and sends the various drains to the upstream side of the storing vessel. The inside of at least either of the cylindrical body for introducing air and the cylindrical body for circulating water houses a plurality of permanent magnets.
